Surfboard Socks Review – What is the Best Surfing Board Skin Care Product Out There?
For the past few years, a surfboard sock has been accessory surfers have searched for to eliminate the inconvenience of sand between their feet while still having their feet dry after their surfboard session. The first brand of surfboard sock we reviewed was the Kustoms Beach Wear Surfside Socks. At that time they offered a very limited color selection, but they offered a very comfortable sock that prevented any sores from forming and allowed for easy lathering with shaving soap.
As we moved to the internet and shopped more aggressively for surfboard socks we found the Kustoms Beach Wears Surfside Fins to be our favorite. Although they do not offer as much color selection as the original Kustoms Beach Wears, they do offer more size variety, some of which are larger than others (bigger toes versus smaller). Also, the Surfside Fins comes in two different widths: “wide” and “wide width”.
Last, but not least, you want to make sure your surfboard sock has a padded nose. The foam padding under the nose makes sure the air stays in your nose and doesn’t go out. Also, a well padded nose prevents water from getting into the nose and down into the throat, which can cause irritation and make it painful to breath. Most surfboards do not have a padded nose anyway, so the more padding the better.
